Ascent to the Void is a death-themed game that employs the spark-of-life idea. You are one person who has found a way to stop his spark of life before it enters the void, and now you, existing in the form of a spark, will now try to save other sparks from entering the void. Ascent to the Void features the use of a cool screen blurring effect to increase the effectiveness of particles and moving object, and reducing amount of memory in which object fading would take. It also has a 10 minute soundtrack of MIDI files by Bruce DeBoer.
