People have been asking me how to create an artificial life simulator, and if I could give them something to work with.

Well, here it is.

Lifebase is a completely open-source artificial life tutorial. You can download the complete .gmk for this game here. You are basically free to play around with it, distribute it, and modify it (see the included license in the F1 help screen for more details).

I would like to keep this tutorial simple for people new to a-life to understand, so no extra features will be provided beyond what's already here. I may implement bug fixes though, if you send me a message containing the patched code I would need to implement.
