The Rise of Magus, originally released in 2009, has just had a major update. Version 1.5 includes numerous improvements, as well as new unlockable content that more than doubles the length of the game and provides new challenges for veteran players, as well as an extension of the storyline, with multiple possible endings.

The game is inspired by the character Magus from Chrono Trigger. It explores the untold chapters of his story - how in his quest for vengeance he rose to power among the mystics and began a war that threatened the entire human race.

The game features a leveling and upgrade purchasing system, normal and hard difficulties, a Game+ mode, story dialogue that changes based on player actions, and lots of easter eggs.
