Fire Emblem - Journey of Wolt

A/N: Be sure to give the in-game "Rules and Info" from top to bottom in order to understand how to play and have fun with it!

Hello, everyone! Long story short, I'd been slaving away at this game for my 2D Development Class. This is a game that was made using Game Maker 8 (Pro), which we were using in class. Experimenting with what I was learning in the class, this is the fruits of my labor.

This is currently Version 1.0!

---------------------

Tools used: Game Maker 8 Pro, Adobe Photoshop CS5.

Credits respectfully go to the following: Nintendo / Intelligent Systems for their amazing Fire Emblem series. Pretty much any media used for this game (sprites, maps, sounds*, and such) belongs to either or both of these companies. I'd also like to thank The Spriter's Resource [link] for the Fire Emblem sprites (although the Berserker, Hand Axe, and blue flag sprites were ripped by me, but I take no credit for them since they belong to Nintendo / IS anyway!).

*(Some sounds may derive from other games; credit goes to their respectful owners!)

Included in the ZIP file is the game itself (already in .EXE format, so no installation of programs is required), and a font file that I ask you to install first (just drag it into your "C:\WINDOWS\fonts" folder on your local Windows partition). This is important since the tiny amount of in-game text will look botched up otherwise. I did not make the font, and credit for it (of course) goes to its respectful owner.

---------------------

The game is, for the most part, complete. The only issues I can foresee are the wonky camera (which was a pain to work with from the start), the difficulty level, and the difficulty of squeezing through narrow spaces. In time, I will release revised versions with these problems fixed and probably more levels added, but I sincerely hope everyone at least enjoys this game for what it’s worth. It’s been an utter blast toying around with the Game Maker program (especially for freaking class!), and I had a lot of fun making this game. Depending on its reception, I may just make a sequel (or perhaps another different game altogether, but I won’t hold my breath)! From here on I can only keep improving. That said, I welcome all sorts of feedback!

My main wish is that everyone who plays this game has fun with it, and that it becomes a game that anyone daring enough can pick up and play it any time they'd like! ^_^

So, Happy Gaming, and all that jazz!
