In this game you control a character called ‘the runner’. It is a side scrolling, platform based game in which your goal is to successfully make it to the end of the level (the screen will stop scrolling and a target object will be visible), without being killed. There will be enemies and obstructions that will block your way, and you must try to dodge these obstacles; you cannot attack/destroy them.

Game objects:
The background will vary from level to level. There are various enemies that will try to attack you in various ways, with the enemies becoming harder to navigate past the further you get into the game. There will also be obstructions which you will need to get past/dodge. There will also be an object at the end of each level which will allow you to progress to the next level.

Sounds:
There will be different background music for the different levels, and sound effects to go with various collisions/lives lost.

Controls:
The controls for the game are fairly simple, using the arrow keys: Jumping, crouching, and slowing down slightly (holding the back key).

Game flow:
The game will have a menu, allowing the player to quit, start a new game and see the high score tables. Pressing the ‘F1’ in game will bring up a help menu, providing instructions and small pieces of advice. Pressing the ‘Esc’ key will end the game.

Levels:
There are various different levels during the game, each with a different set of obstacles and enemies to overcome, to make it to the end of the level. At the end of the level the screen will stop scrolling, and a target object will become visible. When ‘the runner’ makes contact with this object the player will proceed to the next level, and when the final level is finished, the high score table will open.
