Near Impossible Project

Okay, so this is a concept that just *might* have been thought up before. The goal of this project is to create a first person shooter (or something similar) only using the Lite version of Game Maker. The project is named "Near Impossible" because of not the difficulty of the game itself, but because of my expectations of the difficulty of making a FPS on GM Lite, which I guessed would be near impossible.

Anyway, the point of the game is to survive as long as possible, and blow up everything that looks like a threat. (In this case, red UFOs.)

The Z key fires your weapon. The weapons consume your ammo reserves.

The X key activates a Retriever Beam, used to retrieve various spoils from destroyed enemies. (hence the name.) This drains your Energy pool.

The A key activates the radar. White dots coming from the direction of your enemies will appear onscreen. This will help you find that next radioactive Twinkie to blow up. This completely drains your energy pool.

The arrow keys move your crosshairs around the area.

Now, about the items... (More items will be added later)

The red cross will restore your shield's power. AKA making you last longer in battle.

The white bullets are ammo drops. They add 150 bullets to your supply. (Loading them is similar to how they load turrets in Portal.)

Pick these up using the Retriever beam.

Oh, and this isn't finished yet. I'm adding some new items and music and maybe some fixes fro the final version. If anyone would like to help fix anything with the game, just send me a message, I'll send the .gmk file along with some problems to fix. Which means less work for me.

Changelog:

Beta 3:
-Added new music, music is randomly chosen by the game.

Beta 2:
- Fixed some movement issues.
I *think* that's about it. Now it's time for me to shut up and time for you to play the game. Kthnxbai.
