With GEM, you can make 8-bit images, and then export them as a PNG. You can draw by holding the keyboard key of the color you want to use, and then draw away. There are also a few tools to use. Have you ever seen a drawing tool which had a platforming mode? Well, GEM has!

The mission function, which gives you one of the 40 different tasks, will help you if you have no inspiration, and there is also a grid to use. The canvas is 48x48 large pixels, but there is a square tool in GEM which helps you to create 16x16 and 32x32 pixels size art.

With the export function, you can use your art afterwards for whatever you want to do with it. There is a manual included in the application. Comes as .exe .
