Reimu Hakurei is living a simple life in her shrine on the border of Gensokyo. However, during an intense storm, someone sweeps by and curses her, forcing her to move left and right only. Soon after, monsters begin swarming out of Makai and Jigoku. Feeling compelled to stop the disturbances, Reimu takes off on her own to find out whatever caused this whole situation.
