"Blast Attack 2" is another classic shoot'em up game. It is a direct-sequel to "Blast Attack 1" and, like its predecessor, can be considered a spiritual sequel to famous shooter games such as "Gradius", "R-Type" etc.

The game has 9 levels. Each level deals with different enemies, locations, and bosses. Though there are infinite lives, the game is quite chellenging and difficult (NOT impossible), but it is generally easier than its predecessor, and the bosses are less powerful. There are, however, the Diamonds. If you menage to get 8 Diamonds (there is 1 Diamond in each level), you will fight the final boss and see the ending: you will finish the game once for all. But, if you get less than 8 Diamonds, you won't fight the final boss and the ending will not be shown (alternatively, you can restart the game and try again).

There are also three different 'power-ups' in this sequel.

While the sprites, the backgrounds etc. were all made by me using Paint (expect for a fire-ball taken from Super Mario Bros, and a Diamond.gif that I found in the web), the rest of the game features various music, sounds and themes from different videogames. For example, the Airship Level (Sky Zone) features a music from Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (Sega Genesis / Megadrive).

The game also features many special effect since it was made using "Game Maker 6".

This is my second game so don't kill me if you find any bugs etc. And don't be surprised if you find grammar errors in this description or in the game (I'm Italian, not english/american).
