Welcome to the world of Notebook, where anything is possible with an imagination and a pencil. The world of Notebook was created by a young artist named Joshua. Notebook's great protector and hero, Sketch, has up until recently insured the peace and safety of its citizens. However, Joshua's brother Cliff got ahold of Joshua's drawings and messed with them, unknowingly unleashing an evil monster called Hexadexatron, who spawned evil creatures to create chaos throughout the world. His ultimate goal is to subvert the power of the king and conquer Notebook, enslaving the one peaceful and prosperous citizens of the world.

Now Sketch must set forth and vanquish Hexadexatron and his minions. The only way to do this is the gather the Happiness coins Hexadexatron scattered throughout the land to ensure nobody will stop him. Sketch must use these coins in the Temple of Happiness, and use the ultimate weapon of Notebook, the Big Ol' Happiness Cannon, to destroy Hexadexatron's domain. Along his way, he is given aid and support by mythical creatures, and given access to one of the most powerful weapons against enemies of Notebook: The Wand of Small Red Triangles.
