Similar to arcade games in the 😬's and titles on video game systems such as the Atari 2600, the concept behind Earth Defense is simple: Blast all the invaders before it's too late.

You have three cannons which can be fired at the invaders. To fire the left and right cannons, hold the left and right arrow keys and press the space bar while doing so. To fire the cannon in the middle, simply hit the space bar without holding any other keys.

The population - indicated at the bottom of the screen when playing - is constantly decreasing over time and will continue to do so until all invaders are destroyed. Also, the more invaders you destroy, the faster they'll become!

Destroy all invaders to win the game and save the lives of as many citizens as possible. If you don't clear out the invaders before the population reaches zero, you will have failed to save mankind and therefore will lose the game.
