An old engine I made using game maker's limited online gml coding. (only 2 players at the moment) You can connect with another player using local network or any kind of program that can create servers. It can't globally connect with any distant player so keep that in mind. You may use this example for your games and you don't have to worry about giving me any credit. I might add some additional features but don't count on it. Added a ton of new features such as changeable weapons, code with ease (bunch of drag and drops), changed the fugly chat feature to the text box, and more!
